So to start off today's blog, which no one's reading anyways, I wanted to start on a small rant.
It's about hair colors.
Particularly 'red' hair colors. I love 'red' hair, I am actually a (dyed) red head. But I hate that its called red head. For one the hair is orange. Ginger. Unless you dye your hair the actual color red, like blood, cherries and pomegranates. Which I did, I loved it. It faded, I was rather sad about that. Now I have dark orange hair, kind an auburn color. I love the color on me, but I might change it back to cherry red one day. Anyways it bothers me when people say it's red because it's not. Orange is not red, orange is the product of yellow and red, its a secondary color. Its the color of sunset, of fire, of a pumpkin. It is not the color of blood, rubies, or hooker lipstick! It also ends up with me being rather confused when I'm ordering henna and I say I want my hair to turn red, I'm never sure if they understand I want ruby red not carrot red. Because apparently orange doesn't exist in the hair color world anymore.
Also, just as a side note, it seems most people in my generation have the literacy level of the starving children in India, or Africa, or Brazil. Unless those starving children can type, or write, fully coherent sentences, talk fully coherent sentences and not make themselves seem like total idiots. But for them it's okay, they're children and they live in less information abundant places. Which, actually being in a less developed country is great for your immune system, teaches it what to fight and everything..but that's another story for another day. Back to people who can't type. It's sad when I see a three sentence comment and I can't for the life of me figure out what it says because it's so garbled! I mean some typo's are okay, some people write fast and spell check doesn't catch words that don't fit, just misspelled words. Hey I mess up a lot too, although at least I can use spellcheck., some people it looks like they don't even know what it is! Or how to speak in the English language! Which is sad because usually those people have had at least ten years of English classes, they should've learned how to spell simple words by now.
Also so many girls these days enjoy reading, in my opinion, total and utter crap. Their standards for a good book are reduced to this: Love. If there is a lot of steamy make out sessions and hot guys lolling around that plot line and grammar of the book or story doesn't seem to matter at all! As long as they can read about their odd sexual fetishes everything is fine. Oh this main character is as flat as a board, is obviously a whiny idiot and has no dimension? But this hot vampire/werewolf/werewolf/vampire is in love with her SO I DON'T CARE. Or it's a fully human story where a famous/stalker jerk/bad boy/ Her brothers best friend/ the guys she's hated since forever likes her, and he's hot as fuck but, and this is always the case, he is a total douche bag. But it's alright because he's hot and he says nice things that are totally out of character. But he's like that because of some family issue/gang problem so his stalker tendencies and his asshole ways are forgiven because now he's found the one and knows it after a few days so he's not going to act like a total jerk to this plain jane/ gorgeous girl who doesn't know it yet has never been asked out/ shy but has the potential to be beautiful girl who no one else has ever noticed before. It bothers me because one these things are corny, horribly written and they make me want to puke. Two because this werewolf thing has created a new cliche, the rejected mate cliche. And it's getting old, I must admit I read a really good one, totally unexpected ending. It took a quickly growing cliche, morphed it and made it her own. It was amazing, but eight times out of ten people can't do this. They just want to put themselves in there, to hell if the story is actually good, if it has a hot guy, a poor girl and sex it's fine. It's a piss off. Plus, think about it, if some guy was being a royal ass hole to you would you fall in love with him? I sure wouldn't, to hell if he has daddy issues, it's no excuse. Also if he's a total hottie whose a major jerk he's probably not going to notice a plain jane, sorry to burst your fantasy bubble but it's not realistic, that's not real life. And if a guy was stalking me I'd pepper spray him, beat him senseless with a 4x4 then call the cops on his ass, not start making out with him.
So yes this is my rant, sorry if you don't like it but it is my opinion. It feels good to get it out. Bye!
